RIP Keith Emerson; keyboard player and founding member of Emerson, Lake and Palmer
71 Died from an apparent suicide; gunshot wound to the head.
He had been suffering from nerve damage to his right hand, but was scheduled to play at a couple of upcoming dates.
I've seen ELP in concert 3 or 4 times and they put on a great show, Keith was a Wildman on stage; he would slam that B3 Hammond organ mercilessly on the stage, then when he stabbed the keyboard with knives it would make sounds like you've never heard before. He messed up once in Chicago and cut himself, he was bleeding all over the keyboard and the crowd went crazy. (He was ok and continued on after he got taped up).
