Does anyone have an idea when the Elio finale body design will be shown to the public? I understand it may never go on tour, but it would be a great reservation booster.

My guess is they will show it to us a little after they begin building it. :D

But seriously, my understanding is that the P4 design only needs some minor tweaks mostly for aerodynamics so it really will not look much different from the current P4. I would guess that EM will allow us to follow the next build on their blog in near real time very similarly to what they did with the P4 build in December 2013 and January 2014. This will likely happen around the time the testing on the first engine is complete and EM gets ready to build a number of test engines both for continued dyno testing and for real world testing in the next vehicle(s).

The only two things I've heard that are going to change is to raise the back a couple of inches and reduce the size of the opening for the radiator because it was getting too much air.

They decided against raising the back and instead are going to gain the same benefit in rear seat head room by lowering the seat 2".

Reducing the size of the grill is apparently still in and there will likely be a few more small body panel tweaks. The side mirrors will be a bit larger and the hood will also be tweaked so that it works with the final windshield wiper assembly which will tuck in under it for better aerodynamics.

Not picturing the 2" drop in the seat. I sat back there and already felt like I was stuck in a hole plus my head touched the roof. I wish they had opted for the raise rather than the drop in the seat. 2 inches would have added trunk size too.

I too am having a bit of trouble visualizing how they are going to pull it off .... also how will dropping the seat 2" affect the angle of your knees .... after reading reports of guys 6' tall having enough headroom in the P4, I was a bit surprised that I didn't have much clearance .... oh well, they say they can do it and I'm pretty sure they have figured out the mechanics .... time will tell

I'm right at 6'1" and my head, while not officially touching the roof, was flipping close. So whether they raise the roof or drop the seat, hopefully they accomplish the minimum 2" gain or I may end up hunching down in back while wearing a helmet! I'm not too worried, from everything I've observed they've been very careful in covering all their bases in design and execution.
