Flat Towing

Inquiried of Jerome Vassallo today as to flat towability for the standard and AMT transmission Elio's. His response is quoted below with his permission.

"Yes, the Elio is designed to be flat towable in auto or manual. We are working with Blue Ox for our baseplate and tow bar package."

Hopefully this will be of some help to some.

I don't see why not...the rear wheel just rolls along anyway ☺☺

I've seen that; big class A Diesel pulling a Subaru Sedan with the parking brake on.
Doing 60mph and the Subaru is smoking like a Double A fuel dragster doing a burn-out.
That big motorhome probably never felt it back there.
I pulled up along side and was waving and pointing; they just smiled and waved back.
After I got past it I wondered how long before the tires blew.

OH YEAH ! I WROTE THEM IN JULY 2014 SUGGESTING A FOLDING TOW-BAR OPTION .
THEY SAID THEY LIKE THE IDEA AND "WE'VE PASSED IT ALONG TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE" .

I HAVE HEARD THE RIGHT PEOPLE QUOTE A COUPLE OF TIMES SINCE
AND WAS WONDERING IF THIS WAS THEIR TERM FOR THE OVAL FILE .

NICE TO HEAR THAT THE RIGHT PEOPLE EXIST !
