We have had a LOT of rain the last few days (like 3" to 6" depending where you are.
And there are some areas north of me that are flooding, plus there was a landslide that has completely blocked I-5 Northbound (the other way around is a 125miles extra)

Here's some news and video

The really bad part? There is another storm coming in; expected to be here tonight/tomorrow
That one might be an additional 3" to 8" up to 12" in some areas.
I'm 18 miles north of Portland, and while it has rained here, no where near as much, and no flooding closer than 5 miles away.

Break out the ark!!

I know we have some members that are down in the thick of it.
But with all of the power outages, flooding, landslides and "a partridge in a pear tree" I'm not surprised we haven't heard from them yet.
About 10 miles north of me they had a landslide (hill slide) that is blocking I-5 northbound; the problem with that is, I-5 is the only way north and south through all of western Washington; and in the area it happened in; there are no backroads to go around it. The only way you can get around it is to take an additional 326mile detour (from Portland to Yakima to Seattle) this really messes with commercial trucking.
Other ways around it; boat (Columbia River to Pacific Ocean to the Straights down into Puget Sound (around 2 days)) train (good old Amtrak) or Plane.

Oh Boy; the weather didn't want to leave Battle Ground out of all the fun; we've had a wild thunder and hail storm for the last hour, then come to find out we had a tornado touch down on the east side of town (about 2 miles away from me); news crews are on their way now, and I can hear sirens heading out in that direction.
Found out that Hwy 101 is closed at Wheeler, a big chunk of the road washed out down a hill (like a 2 lane wide, 15 foot across section) so there's another road closed.
