How far did I go and what would I to do sit in an Elio?

My day began today calling in sick from work, driving my motorcycle in the rain to meet another owner at his private airplane at 7:00am. Taking off at 7:30a,m. Flying just over two hours until we landed in Jacksonville. Rented a car and drove 20 minutes to the mall and jumping in line. Departed at 3:00pm. Dropped the rental car. Flew back to in very sketchy weather. Landed at 6:00pm. Got on the motorcycle and drove home in the rain.

Was it worth it?
HELL YES!
Would I do it again?
ABSOLUTELY!

Well, i spent exactly 5 minutes walking to see and sit in my elio, since my apartment is next to the convention center in Las Vegas. I tried to sneek in the first time and was busted by security, so i went to the next security guard and blew right past him when he wasnt looking. Then i had to find the car in this huge convention center which took forever, but i finally made it, and saw jerome and my elio.

I guess you didn't see me driving up 95. started @430 -5hrs up 5 hours back spent 2hrs with the car home @6- aand very glad to have done it. If you fly out to pick-up your car, I'd be MORE than happy to carry your bags!

While I would enjoy seeing one I am not going to drive all day to do it, then stand in line. I went all in at 1K sooner or latter I will see one and drive it and keep it. I like the idea of flying down and picking ours up.
I will be checking into to renting a HD to ride down and leave there then drive the ELIO home , but I don't think HD rents one way.

My first time to see the P4 was in Savanna, GA a round trip of 1974 miles round trip.
The second trip was to Schaumburg, IL, only 80 miles.
I am planning on a trip to Richmond, VA. this December when the location and schedule are posted.
That trip will be 1682 miles. Those are all in2014.
In 2015 I plan to pickup my ELIO at the factory in Shreveport, LA. The trip home will be 883 miles.

I had planned to drive to oshkosh from the twin cities but that event got canceled

That trip would have been about 300 miles one way for me but it was only thinkable because I would have gone on from their to visit family in Milwaukee. I think practically that unless there was a reason for an overnight visit I'd drive at most 3 hours to see it.

That said, with Minneapolis being one of the projected retail centers and the only one really viable for much of the mid-west I remain disappointed that EM hasn't made more effort in this market place.

After reading these stories, I feel like a slouch getting to sit in an Elio three different times in my own home town.
Contrary to popular opinion, there are advantages to living in Los Angeles.
