I read somewhere (not official, I'm sure) that they could be offered in primer for vehicle wraps and custom paint. This would indicate that they are painting the panels in batches as you suggest. Then again, could be just hearsay.

We don't yet have many details of how delivery will work for reservations holders however we have been told that home delivery and factory pickup would be at least some of our options. Another widely speculated delivery option is delivery to your nearest Pep Boys however that has not been confirmed by EM.

It is highly likely that Elio Motors is still working on the details of exactly what delivery options will be offered to reservation holders, and at what cost, as many of us will likely receive our vehicles before Elio Motors has their retail store network in place.

Ultimately the plan is for new Elio orders to be processed via a distribution center and delivered to your nearest Elio retail store as quickly as possible. From what EM has said home delivery will likely continue to be an option even after the stores are open which would enable someone to order a vehicle from ElioMotors.com and have it delivered straight to their home.

What I do know is that all panels for the same vehicle are typically painted together to avoid color variations as even minor variations in color are obvious between large panel sections.

This is very true. My 1999 Royal Enfield had parts painted independently and it resulted in one ugly mismatched shades of colors that I had to repaint to be happy with.

I'm fine with a nuetral interior color (shades of gray?). For economy all the interiors should probably be the same color. Responses? S'okay, I've got my asbestos suit on.

I agree with that. Keeps the cost down. It's easy to install aftermarket seat covers.

While they're not too practical, white or very light colors make an interior look larger. They're much better at reflecting heat in summer too. I think I still have the grill marks from getting into my '67 Mustang with black vinyl seats on an August afternoon - in shorts, no less.

Two interior color options..........Black & Tan would compliment all of Elio's exterior options. Shades of grey and Creamsicle.............not so much.

I put my 1k in during the month of June 2014. I must think I am not in the first 10,000, which means to me that retail outlet may by then be established which is another option. Actually, Terrence, the last release had numbers between 5,000 and 6,000 so you and I should be below 10,000. :-) Z
