I know we have to wait for the date until production dates are determined, but it's almost a requirement that there be one. I'm already planning to make a vacation out of it.

We started Aahz had the lead on this, I was just advising / consulting

And when we started getting into what it would take, he thought better of it.
To be honest, that's why I agreed to advise on the project; I know how much work it is, and how many things have to be included or dealt with it.
Setting up a meet is a lot of work.

I went to a "INSIGHTFEST 2016" in Aug. as a worker and a nation wide meet is a LOT OF WORK.
To do it right it takes a lot of. $$$$$., time and a select crew.
I don't see a need for a USA MEET until the first year anniversary.
A "rally" would be easier though.
Count me in, but not in the cold weather.

Google the above meet and you will see the results.

How about a coming home rally back to Shreveport, Elio Motors might even sponsor the whole thing! Otherwise a central location in the US like Kansas would be good for a decent turn out.
That would probably be easier to plan for logistics than a cross country rally. A gathering at Shreveport followed by a rally around the city could be doable.

Thank you for explaining that; yes, it is a huge project that the better the meeting, means a lot more work by experienced people was done.
A place to hold it, the logistics of working with the surrounding town and the authorities, permits, insurance, fund raising so that it comes off and looks good, banners, workers, security, entertainment; and the list goes on. You don't want to have people traveling in from all over the country for a 1 or 2 hour meet, it has to be planned for a couple of day or at minimum 1 to 1.5 days if it's going to be more that just 100 or so.
