Yes, After waiting forever on Elio, SOLO, and currently doors for the FUV, I pulled the trigger on a Tesla Model Y late last summer. A local guy wanted to buy my low mileage 2005 Lexus RX, so the timing was right for a new SUV. I’ve been fascinated by electric vehicles for a long time.

So which did you get- the 4wheel or the 2wheel drive? The instant torque from the electric motors pushing you back at what...0-60 in sub 5sec must be exhilarating...easy on the pedal because it ain't a senior's car!

Nice choice. We really like our Model Y, though the Model X has a better ride. I much prefer the size of the MY to the MX, however. I think if the MY had an air suspension it would be darn near perfect.
LOL!! It’s this senior’s car. We ordered the Dual Motor AWD. It is a quick, fast, and exhilarating driving experience. The driver comfort is exceptional. MY wife has the lead foot. I set it on chill mode when I know she’s taking it out for the day.
My wife and I like the car so far. The ride is rougher than I thought it would be, but we both enjoy driving it more than any other car we’ve owned over the years. I’ve not experienced the Tesla ride equipped with air suspension, but sounds smoother and quieter. Perhaps an option on future MYs? I agree, it’s the perfect vehicle platform.
There is a Tesla Service Center in our area, but we are moving back to South Dakota soon and the closest Service Center is 180 miles. I’m concerned about the reliability of the mobile service option. My son says there is a number of Teslas driving around town, so they must have an adequate mobile servicing network. Time will tell.

Lol and why the heck not! Dual motor, AWD, that'll leave most cars in the dust! The best thing to do with your wife is to teach her just the basics and leave all the neat gizmos to yourself!

That car is meant for open road, mountain road and no road in all weather conditions. It's also very sporty hence the stiffer suspensions for quick turns and zigzags. I would assume the suspensions can easily be adjusted for softer ride by qualified Tesla tech. I was wondering myself why Tesla didn't incorporate air suspension (like the range rovers) because I would think that set up is much lighter than conventional shocks and springs.

I like a stiff suspension feel the road ride over a jet smooth ride, so perhaps it’s not so much a rougher ride, but rather that I can hear the bumps in the road. Maybe lack of sound buffering, 41# tire pressure, or quieter EV cabin. Regardless, I like it in all three steering settings. I drive in Sport Mode because it makes me feel younger.
I’ve switched steering settings and really can’t tell much difference. It’s a tech loaded vehicle, almost to hi tech for an old codger.
