Hey Cheesehead;
Please put me on the 88 for each race until further notice.
Dusty
Done. Not a bad plan, either. He's really looking just as good as last year, maybe even a touch better. I thought losing Letarte might slow them down for a little bit, but Greg Ives has filled that spot perfectly so far.

From what I've heard from Steve Letarte in radio interviews, I'm looking forward to seeing him on NBC's coverage later this year.

well, it appears I'm not the only one whose noticed and is wondering about the different level of performance between Harvick and the rest of SHR ..... its discussed :

"LAS VEGAS -- Kevin Harvick's victory at Las Vegas on Sunday marked his sixth consecutive finish of second or better and third win in the last six races dating back to his championship 2014 season.

"Happy" Harvick, the current championship leader, couldn't be happier and his crew chief Rodney Childers was all smiles Sunday afternoon too as was one of his team owners, Gene Haas.

For his other team owner, Tony Stewart, it's a mixed bag of emotions.

While Harvick has given the Stewart-Haas Racing team plenty to celebrate both last year and already with this strong 2015 season start, the rest of his team -- including Stewart -- are playing major catch-up, much like the rest of the series.

As good as Harvick's No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet has been, the other SHR cars have struggled mightily in the results department even, when they've shown speed in practice or qualifying. Harvick has two runner-ups and a win -- the three other SHR drivers don't have a top-10 among them."

hey now, easy on my lady driver ..:confused:.. I don't know that she'll be a top 10 driver but being in the top 20 is certainly possible .... when a driver is in the top 20 in NASCAR, that's some impressive company

I think a lot of people fail to realize this however it is very true. The NASCAR Sprint Cup series is full of world class drivers so even the mid-pack drivers are actually quite good at what they do.

over time, there have been very few open wheel drivers who have come into NASCAR and done well, none in recent history .... one of the best in my memory is A. J. Foyt ====> USAC Champ Car 36 years/297 wins -- Formula 1 3 years/3 wins -- CART 15 years/85 wins --- NASCAR 34 years/7 wins .... the most recent Juan Pablo Montoya 252 races/2 wins .... Marcos Ambrose 227 races/2 wins .... breaking into the Sprint Cup level is indeed tough .... Danica can handle speed, willing the pole position at Daytona proved that .... I don't know that she'll ever win a Spring Cup race but I'd sure like to see her do so

Time will tell. She's proven to be a 25th to 30th place driver in what could be argued to be 1st place equipment. I think a lot of drivers would have already been shown the door there, but the GoDaddy money keeps coming.

I'm a bigger fan of guys like Truex last weekend that take a mid pack car and wrestle an up front finish out of it.

understood .... the Furniture Row team has put together something worth respect .... Danica's just starting her 3rd year, right now she's in front of Tony in the points but I doubt that will last ... like Elio, time will tell ..:)

A.J. Foyt is of course a legend however I can't believe you failed to mention Smoke in there. Tony Stewart was a USAC champion and IndyCar IRL champion before he raced in the Cup series for the first time.

Another interesting open wheel name who did not race too much in NASCAR however did win the Daytona 500 is Mario Andretti.
