Ok, I figured it out. He finally called back and turns out he was trying to sell me Elio stock. The thing is he was representing himself as an employee of Elio, (constantly kept dropping Paul Elio's name like they were big buddies) which I doubt is the case. I recognize a New York accent when I hear one so I cheked his area code and, sure enough, New York. So, I figure what we have here is a broker trying to gain our confidence (and money) by claiming to be with Elio Motors. No thanks.

More likely a scammer. Broker's aren't and for now cannot handle Elio stock.

Hold your horses Guys. Find that other thread on this. We figured it MIGHT be that other fund raising for the accredited investors calling folks who pledged more than $20,000.00 with start-engine and looked likely to be accredited. (We're only allowed to pledge 10% of our yearly income ... self verifying). Boy, you rich guys got all the problems, don't ya, lol.

Tom at (516) 478 9015 called me yesterday. I called back. It had to do with stock sales, I told him I was uninterested. and yes the conversation was littered with Paul's name being mentioned about every other sentence.

I didn't post the phone number because I didn't want a bunch of guys from this forum calling him. It would be terrible if he were to have to answer hundreds of calls from people who are already wise to the scam. So, please, don't any of you call and waste his valuable time.
