In Mark's BEX thread I had asked about building the "BEX Mongrel" as a KIT car/motorcycle. I was a bit confused as it seemed that wouldn't work in this instance.
It seems a guy in Detroit has purchased and old car factory and is going to try to make a KEI truck and sell it as a KIT car. He seems to think this will work "in most states in the US".
I whole idea did scratch my brain a bit and caught my attention.
I would very much enjoy hearing anyone's opinion on this concept. Also, I don't know anything about this "Discord" item he mentioned, either - I have not clicked on the link below the video. An "open source" vehicle sounds like something way beyond my fabrication/assembly level, but who knows??
This could also be "click bait" and I got hooked into watching a long winded video that will garner him some views and ad revenue. If anyone is interested, watch 11:45 to 14:20 in this video. I would like your opinion as the whether you think it is possible for this guy to sell a "KIT" KEI Truck in the United States or not.
