Major Fiat Chrysler Recall

So basically, if you are in a wreck, don't let your knee move and accidentally kill the airbags... That is a tough one. Sure, you can position yourself so your knee doesn't hit but what happens during an accident? At least there is a mechanism to perform recalls.

This is my favorite, "DUH!", part of the recall alert:

"...various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash."

Ya think?

Not mentioned is the fact that when this little 'glitch' happens, your steering wheel locks!
The first two times was on our way to Denver, CO, and on our way home. Didn't put two and two together. Wasn't until we were flying down the highway in FL heading to Lake Mary did I see what actually was happening. Been watching that key/knee interaction like a hawk ever since.
