Hope they find somewhere else to mount the rear passenger seat belt retractor. In it's present position it looks like it takes up about a fourth of the already limited baggage space. Big mistake IMHO.

I see the driver's shoulder belt is hanging in the way of access to the back seat.
It's really no different from our Ford Focus ZX3 in that regard, and it hasn't been a problem. I haven't heard my daughters complain about it even once.

Notice they have the shifter moved. Don't know if it's automatic or stick, but there is a cup holder where the P5 shift was.
If you look closely, you can see the shifter in front of the hand brake (no knob)....the cup holder is for the back seat person

Take a closer look. Look to the left of the shifter and you will see the front cup holder.
It's where they put the shifter in the P5.
Possibly a typo. Or maybe they refined the requirement. Or maybe they are building two more E series which will not be test vehicles and used for more nefarious purposes.

My thoughts exactly. I figured it was a typo, but if they needed to reduce the number for a cost reason I am OK with that. 2 fewer E-series vehicles is fine by me if it brings them closer to production without adding delays.

Maybe they're going to loan 2 vehicles to DOE, one to the loan specialist and one to the reviewing engineer.
