If you notice those old plants were purchased or brokered by IRG. IRG is also the company which is leasing the Shreveport GM plant from Caddo Parish, LA. The President and Founder of IRG, Stuart Lichter, is an Elio Motors board member and investor.

It's a news headline, did you really expect it to be factual?

At least they did get the part that it is expected to begin production in 2015 correct. Better than a lot of other articles I have read.

Yea, I looked there first, but nothing with glass jumped out, and I didn't feel like going through all of them. You are most likely correct.

I did notice that the first little banner on the left of the main page now mentions power steering AND tempered glass. It didn't used to.

The tempered glass part is not really a surprise as for various reasons this is the type of glass used in all vehicles however, as we have discussed in the power steering thread, power steering was a bit of a surprise.
