With all start-ups, there's always the CAVEAT associated with unrealized expectations. Expected deliveries could get pushed back months/years or worse, end up bust. But I really like everything about this Nimbus S- it's much closer to a bike with it's tilt tech, sits two, speeds up to 75mph, steering wheel, air-bag, rear window, etc. so a refundable hundred buck is a no brainer just to support this company.
I agree! It was an enclosed tilting three wheeler Carver that initially sparked my interest in three wheelers years ago, so the Nimbus One and preferably the One S has moved to the top of my list. I have zero expectation that they will cross the NHTSA certified production model production finish line. However, even if they do, it will take added time (maybe years) to expand sales and service to all 50 States. A test drive and factory tour would lock in the wait.

I can only hope they contact RSchneider‘s New Vehicle Startup Consulting Services to insure it happens. :)

I hope they do. Motorcyclists old and new will have a blast with this fully enclosed tilting 3wheeler! If they can start delivering a fully certified production Nimbus One units come Sept of this year, then there's certainly hope for the more sought after model S.

My wife is excited about the roof rack option for hauling her surfboard. I kid, she doesn’t surf, I just liked the photo and it shows the height of the Nimbus compared to the Solo for easier ingress/egress and improved visibility…….to see and be seen. With that said, only the production Solo can currently be seen on the street today.

You're right Rickb. It's still a long wait to see if this Nimbus One will deliver but it's certainly a more fun ride. I can also see it being hauled by truck owners to the beach, to car shows, to campgrounds, etc.

Perfect vehicle for trailering. Lots of FUV owners report trailering behind motor homes for snow bird destinations, to various events, and scheduled FUV meetups over the course of the year. Sounds like fun!

Well, you've always wanted a full enclosure so here it is, no waiting for your FUV and it looks like it meets your ingress/egress requirement.

I’d prefer the Nimbus validated with a test drive, but will take either one or both. :)
I agree. I'm giving them 'till the end of this year for that or this could easily turn out to be another funding dilemma which is nothing new for start-ups.....and I'm not getting any younger.

Funding is the #1 issue. Maybe they got it but until September 30th to live up to their claim.

I don't have a problem with that. All I ask for are a few simple things:
1. If you are a startup, you pay me up front.
2. I don't take pay in stock.
3. Let me know up front the timeline for that machine you want. Then sign a contract because I don't need your financing problem to become mine.

Typically with many of these startups (especially the ones that IPO) is this. They work hard to get to the point of the IPO. Get quotes for everything and have a plan. IPO happens and then they start spending money on silly things that pretty much make them feel better. About 18 months later they call and now need that machine at the same exact price because they have a tight budget. Plus, they need it in half the time. All while I have spent a bunch of time (without getting paid as it's a quote) to requote and then being asked,, "Is there any wiggle room on that price, plus we really need to get to production ASAFP." All while they hired 15 new directors and C level execs. Plus tripled the size of the area for the offices for them, added a coffee bar and plus to get that super great talent, they all got high end company cars, along with team building retreats to Hawaii. I need to take a cut in my profit because they took that IPO and blew it on stuff that they didn't need or even originally budgeted for pre IPO.

If you look at Arcimoto, they seemed to inflate to 11 C level Execs. All of this to produce 89 units from October to December (which equates to losing $40K per unit by the Q3 numbers). Top it off, burn through a boatload of cash only to reduce the workforce by 1/3 and then stop production (I know, it's for the all improved 2023 model yet we have zero idea as to what that really is) then go silent (except for winning another internet award and telling us how many they made in Q4). My spidey sense tells me that their "supply chain issues" has to do with not being able to pay the bills to get those parts.

Hopefully, Nimbus can be like Vanderhall. Private funded and pay all bills. Thus keep production running and sell product along allow for free test drives.

I do see there are three brand new FUV's and two used (one with 134.9 miles and the other with 428). So with the huge demand for those units, buy one now. Only a $500 non refundable deposit.
