Dear Friends,

Please allow me to ask this horrible question. As I am an older man with
a family, I may not commit even as much as $8,600 if I should be unable
to obtain this wonderful vehicle.

As I know that the advance purchase price of an Elio is non-refundable,
I have to ask this horrible question:

Is there any remote chance that I will be unable to obtain
this vehicle, if I were to become one of those that pay the
full price in advance?

Please Advise,

I am new (Nov 20) $1k all in but no guarantee exists car will be built. All info IMO looks positive the only doubt in my mind is when production begins and when it will ramp up. Suggest you take some time and search this thread for good info. If it helps, I was told about 13000 $1k all in ahead of me.

Please Advise,
It is important to understand that you can not pay up front. You can reserve for $100, $250, $500, $750 or $1,000. That is all. These amounts are at two levels. The "all in" is non-refundable and they are very clear about that. The "I want in" is refundable and the money goes into an escrow account as I understand it. Also, the vehicle is $6,800 at the basic level plus taxes, license, title, options, and delivery. I hope this helps.

Tlhere is a lot of information on Elio Motors.com as well as on this forum. I encourage you to ask if you are unable to find a specific topic and someone will try to help you. We are generally a very friendly and knowledgeable group. :-) Z

I don't know if they have a program to accept full payments in advance .... that's a question you might want to ask on their Facebook page .... as noted below, they do have a program where you can reserved an Elio :

if you choose to use the "All In" reservation program, its possible under a limited number of circumstances that you could lose your money .... if you choose the "Want In" reservation program, your money is protected .... the advantage to the "All In" program is you will get your Elio sooner

From what I've seen, they have a program to refuse additional payments or full payments in advance. :) Many people have asked and Elio Motors on Facebook has said "Max is $1000 deposit".

I like that, it makes me smile. The reason being that those who continue to call it a hoax and see us only as simpletons getting sheared. It would make more sense that if EM were sucking in our cash for their own nefarious, Machiavellian plans would allow full prepayment as a number of people have inquired about. It makes no sense to limit the money people want to throw at you if you are out to swindle someone, but there you have it.
