My guess is they didn't happen since they were supposed to start producing them in 2008. I suspect $7000 might pay for about 1/4 of the car. LOL :-) Z

Unlike the Elio it does NOT advertise the price. You can be certain it is a lot more than $6800 which is one of the main attractions for the Elio.

I think Cornelius Vanderbilt was supposed to have said that when asked the cost of one of his several yachts. Sadly, it's true, thus far NONE of the start-up companies that seemed to offer economical transportation with breakthrough engineering have made it to mass production. I won't count Smart in this because with Mercedes' underwriting, maybe it's not necessary for them to be profitable. Smart is sort of a reverse halo car for Daimler AG. Drivers can navigate their Großer Mercedes with the assurance that somewhere out there the proles are taking up the carbon slack with their Smarts.
