Congratulations and welcome to the forum where you will find all the information about the development and production of the Elio. For the last few months Elio has been pretty consistent that production is anticipated for September 2015.

Welcom D Borland! Congrats on the deposit. It really is a leap of faith, totally agree, and your excitement is shared for sure.

Production start date is a not-for-sure. Since 4 months ago, it's been 3rd quarter of 2015. I then made an assumption that the last month of that quarter makes sense, so Sept 2015 is sort of what we've been going with. In a very recent interview, Paul Elio said "2nd half of 2015", something like that.

Wish we could be more certain, but there is a lot to do between now and when production starts. Our friend Gas-Powered Awesome is expecting his vehicle to be delivered in Jan 2016, and he's pretty early in the line at #844.

There's other discussions too, such as what to expect for a weekly rate of production as the months go on after start of production, and that Elio Motors plans to have ride-and-drive events for reservation holders, close to the start of production.

Any idea how long it takes to get your production number?

We are expecting the next wave of numbers to be emailed out any day now. The last send-out was around July 10. Regardless of your number, if things go as EM plans, your $1k all-in reservation will get you a vehicle during the first 3 months of production.

Today, or was it yesterday, we heard it will be around 9/10. I sure hope so. It has been a long wait. LOL :-) Z

true but from reading the how are you going to use your Elio thread, not universal .... in reading post after post from mostly single folks about how an Elio will become their only vehicle, I can't help but think back to simpler times
