With the 2019 targeted production, than that means a 2020 meeting. So, the best thing to do is to to plan around that and using the plant where everyones' Elio will be born. I'd plan on a plant tour and an Elio Experience for all of the reservation holders. Top it off, how cool will it be to see someone like #75,000 pick up their Elio at the plant. That would make for a perfect Kodak Moment. I'd plan on around October 2020 for the Elio meetup. It might be a good idea to look into cheap motel rooms now for the event.

BTW, years ago, there was a discussion of setting up (gratis) casino rooms for Elio Owners to pick up their unit.
It was also mentioned that only "fly-ins" would benefit.
Also, as a reminder, there will be NO getting around the shipping fee even if you pick-up at factory.
There was also discussion about seeing your E being built. I for one find this impossible, as the time will vary on the contacts/contracts/financing from factory "you will be contacted beforehand to select options." (this of course will be before the centers are open.

I understand what you are saying but imagine in 2020 when thousands of Elios show up at the plant and watch them come out the door with certain owners getting to receive their car fresh from the birthing center, that would be cool. For the ones that show up with their Elio, it's sort of a homecoming. Even if you can't get into the plant, at least Paul can take an hour out of his day to sign your Elios and have a good time. It's that the funding will not be an issue and he has finally got over the hump, thus more relaxed. Who would not want to be part of that? I bet if you asked Elio motors today if the group that will be there that if they could set up a massive tent on the property, I bet it would get the OK from Elio corporate. It would literally be a great PR move for the company having a tent filled with initial Elio Owners and how they have customized them through the Elio Website.

i know a few here talk to Elio on a much higher level and if the OK is given now, it would make for a great event in 2020. maybe something like around April or Early May.

Maybe we should borrow an idea from the Moped Army and host regional rallies and people can choose which ones they wish to attend. Then when the data on which gets the most attendance comes in you have the winning spot for the national gathering.

Put this up as a hopeful distraction.
Me, I'd go with the Shreveport !!! Great accommodations (many Casinos, large factory parking, great publicity, and the right time of the year for great weather. Although living in the PNW, I have no idea about the climate, there must be a few days a year that could work.

See ya at the National!

Best of luck to us all!!
