I think there will be somewhat of residual affect left over from gas prices being so high for so long .... being able to drive to work for a fraction of their current expense will still mean something .... $6,800 will still be a major factor

The vast majority will probably "forget" high gas prices but I, for one, STILL want to use less of the stuff. I'm tired of sending my money over to support terrorists and the nations they come from.... Okay, I'm tired of the US sending money overseas, too. Made in America used to mean something great. Now, it just means you found an antique.

Agreed on price of oil possibly denting one of Elio's selling points but the remaining are still very strong, safety and price. The Elio will also continue to save money by not using as much, even at the low prices. I think that the glut has been manipulated and is temporary. In a relatively short time a lot of people will be crying that they don't have an Elio in their drive way.

It's all about HOV lanes for me. Price is great. Gas mileage is great. Made in USA...great.
But if I can't drive it in HOV, I'm out.
The combination of price and HOV is what sold me this car.
I just couldn't hold my nose tight enough to purchase a Prius.
