Update: I checked with O'Reilly and both can be had for less than $75. My mechanic said he would charge less than $200 compared to the $550 by the dealer.

We rented a dolly ($35) and towed it to my mechanic. Over $60 to have the Nissan dealer read the code.

I had a similar problem in the early 90's with my Dodge Dynasty. Cam sensor code. Changed sensor and good to go - for a few years. Then when I was attending SIU automotive technology program it surfaced again. It turned out not to have been the sensor either time. The electrical connector was not making good connection. After reworking the connector to make the connection tighter, the problem never came back.
