giving up control would be a last ditch effort. I agree with many of the posts here. I know Shark Tank has been mentioned on more than a few threads. If you look at the big picture on investors and the small sampling of the investors on that show (which I love to watch). They always want more control. They often ask the owners to find ways to cut corners, like move manufacturing overseas, etc. I think big investors would ruin the dream that Paul has.

Interesting. I hadn't considered how an IPO might change the atmosphere. I am sure this board would turn into a criticism fest!

I think they should go public and give everyone an opportunity to invest in the company. It would solve the financing problem, and give those who really believe an opportunity to share in the success!

They can't do that. To "go public" you have to obey some very strict rules (which have just been liberalized, so more people can play). To have stock listed publicly, it must have demonstrated financials, which Elio does not have.
