Ohio's Elio Owners Meeting A Rousing Success

Just returned from our second state get together. Held at the famous Schmidt's Sausage Haus in German Village, Columbus Ohio. Good food and friendship had by all. Positive comments and excitement still are the overwhelming mood of those in attendance. A couple from Pittsburgh and a former buckeye, now living in Atlanta, helped make up part of the contingent.

You couldn't squelch the enthusiasm and numerous discussions on all subjects filled the three hour get together. Can't wait for the next meet.

Had a Great Time!

Hoping for another get-together sometime in July around the Boardman - Canton Ohio area.

If they can't get the financing taken care of, the car will not be built next year. That's why. This whole thing is feeling more and more like a Ponzi scheme than a new car being developed. If they spent half as much energy securing financing as they have parading this car around the country, we'd have it in our driveways already.

the tour has been EM's major money raiser and registration numbers are needed to help secure funding .... without the success of the tour its difficult to believe that they would have made it this far

At 42,000 committed buyers, times 6,800.00, they have well over $285.6 Million Dollars (minimum, most likely a lot more when you add all the extras in) in gross revenue in orders, that will likely quadruple once it starts being built in just the first year and more and more people want one. Right now the numbers are stagnating because there is no firm financing in place.

If 286 Million dollars in firm orders isn't enough confidence for financial backers to lend them the necessary money, I don't know what it will take, and it sure looks like this project won't go anywhere soon, and we surely won't have it built by next year unless something happens, and REAL quick.
