Ok I Know The Elio Has No Interior Rear View Mirror, So Where Can I Hang My Handicap Placard?

I have a handicap hanging thing......I'm thinking maybe I won't use it when I drive my Elio. People might think it's a joke, I mean where would a person keep their wheelchair!

There are a lot of reasons for having a handicapped sticker. A wheelchair is only one of them. :-) Z

Anyone who has ever had to use crutches for long periods certainly understands.

Before I read eddie66's post I was wondering if I have ever seen a handicapped plate on a motorcycle. Don't believe I have, and I wonder if that is available for a motorcycle plate? A question for my DMV.

I saw a 1900cc Yamaha Raider with a Georgia handicap plate on Saturday, while I was riding in the Blue Ridge mountains of NE Georgia.

Thanks for the reminder. I have to send in my placard renewal today. In Maryland you can only have one plate and one placard.

I do miss those, don't see them much any more. Here in Florida they had to make the pickup drivers stop hanging things from their trailer hitches. Those that resembles the parts removed in making bulls into steers.

They have to offer handicapped plates for motorcycles, there's no law against riding a motorcycle with an artificial leg as long as you can pass the test, and if you have one of those, you qualify to have handicapped parking.... If the states didn't offer it, it would be a violation of the Americans with disabilities act, I would say it would be grounds for a hefty lawsuit.

Since the Elio is operated in most states as exempt from the motorcycle endorsement, and operates like a car, handicapped people will no doubt be able to drive them if they so choose.... It might be difficult for them to do so if they need to haul a wheelchair though.
