What is the point of posting or getting involved at this Forum as nothing is new and nothing is happening at Elio. I see that the last posting is Feb 2018 and here I am at Oct 2019. Nothing New!!!!

Nobody wants the dream to die. As ElioOwners is the only place to get any information, we wait with a small glimmer of hope.

Elio should offer kits. Ford makes a 1-liter 3 cylinder DOHC engine that boasts 123 HP and 148 foot-pounds of torque.

In the Elio cyclecar platform this engine should get close to 65 or 70 mpg, I would guess.

Problems with using a different engine than the one it is engineered for is the additional HP may require larger brakes and adjustments to the anti-skid controls. Maybe even suspension. Tire width. Probably a bunch more things that might effect safety or handling.
