Don't bet any cash on a mid year 2016 date. At least none you can't afford to lose.

I think most reservationists feel 2017 to be more realistic based on the progress to date and the amount of work left to do. Mid to late 2016 would be a pleasant shock.

I would have to agree it would take a miracle for much to happen before 2017. Not being negative there is just to much that has to be done and while looking better the cash is still not in the bank. Fast time lines cost money.

No rush for me. I prefer to see the production Elio's built right the first time to insure happy reservationists upon delivery of their first run production autocycles wth no recalls. EM will need a second extension, but I would be very happy with an early to mid 2017 delivery date. Who knows maybe they can pull off the 2016 target if all goes according to plan.

I hear ya. But Paul also said on Reddit today that the P6-30 will start in late July. So they must be planning to have enough of the P5 done, compare it with the CAD drawings, make adjustments to plans for the P6, and start in at late July. Work would continue on the P5 until done, roughly mid-Nov if the P5 work did start in June.

Actually, I believe he said that at the next 'Suppliers Summit' (end of July), that they would 'discuss' and work out the schedule for the P6 through P30 ... NOT a 'Start Build' date.

Right from the start I took PE word for it. The ELIO will be an and vehicle . It is not replacing anything. It could never replace either of the motorcycles.
Until it proves it's self and it carves out a place around here it will just be here. I will use it ,any one else that wants will use it. keys in it.

I bet YOU'RE not 70 years old! I hit that milestone next month, and don't feel like I have forever to wait for my Elio. But, sigh, I'm pretty sure Xmas 2016 would be the very earliest they'll roll off a line.

I'm feeling the heat too. I have a Grand-Caravan we (two adult drivers, step children not me) depends on that seems to have more issues everyday(18mpg sucks!). And in just two years my first grand-teen will need to drive, and probably can't work unless he has an affordable vehicle available. Then the next teen in 10months, and so on through all 4 grand-kids. And I could really use one for long commutes myself. That's why I have 3 reservations now and desire at least one more. Yes, we all live together like we're the Walton's or maybe Mexican Rancheros!

And then I'd seriously like to make $100 reservation gifts to my daughter and to a brother-in-law, and to my own brother(who live elsewhere, thank god! ). So it's not inconceivable I could go for 3 or 4 more reservations at some point.

Would that be some kind of Guinness record? Can I get a fleet discount?

just curious .... have you considered making those reservations under the "Want In" program .... doing so would help the total number of reservations which we've been repeatedly told is important and protect the investment if the program goes down .... once things are firmed up, it would be easy to upgrade them
