If casinos are involved, my dad will join me as a fellow nerd and willing passenger. It will be an interesting trip back though, he's hard of hearing so we won't be able to chat, and he can't drive a stick.

I believe I read (somewhere) they were talking about comping the cost of the flight and casino hotel stay for a few nights, so you could:

fly-in free
(night one)
get a tour and pick up your Elio
(night two)
have a day to drive around and decide if you really want it
(night three)
then drive it away, or otherwise make transportation arraingements at your own expense.

I think the belief was that people high off of getting their new, awesome, cheap car will be a little more willing to spend money at the casino. However, I never heard any word on wether this deal (if it ever comes to pass) was just for the $1000 all-ins, or the lower levels as well.

And it was definately "Comp", as in, you pay and then EM comps you the expense.

Is this still true? Seems like EM is creating a lot of very positive synergies between the casinos, pep boys new CEO, etc...please tell us more!

NOT the airfare, Jerome did tell me that they were "looking into it", nothing etched in fiberglass/plastic :-)
Casinos and cruise ships would go bust if their customers didn't drink and gamble. If they do comp us, many will, judging from the available Elio Owners shirt sizes, waddle over to the buffet and spend $

and the Parish. They have an investment in the project, and bringing in folks who can afford to fly in to pick-up their E will add to the local economy- gas stations, hotels, casinos, restaurants etc.

Hope they do the casino thing. I've been to a Sam's Town a few years ago and it was pretty good.
