a blown pipeline in Florida has affected fuel supplies well up into NC .... we are camped on I-95 near Smithfield, NC .... one of our club members drives a tanker for Raceway and has been put on alert to be on the road south early in the morning .... our group was able to fill our vehicles just prior to the price jumping .... we have heard that some chain stations in our area are now out of fuel .... hopefully they will get the pipeline repaired quickly

Have you heard about the radioactive waste water sink hole that is contaminating the ground water (aquifer) for thousands?

just read a report about that .... I suspect that the radiation leaking will be a problem much longer than the pipe bursting

Proves how easily one incident can effect a quarter section of the country. The news in Knoxville are showing which stations are out of fuel.

while some stations still have fuel available for sale, many in our area are out .... the pumps at all of the Sheetz stations in our area that we have seen are out of service .... prices at stations that still have fuel vary widely

They (DOT) are allowing tanker drivers to drive more hours than normally allowed. Hope that is not a mistake.

Saw news today where a temporary bypass pipe is now carrying fuel around the leak. Things should get better soon.

fuel is supposed to start flowing again tonight .... announcements have been made for folk in NC to expect it to take a few days for things to get back to normal

I'm happy to say that things seem to be pretty much back to normal in our are .... thankfully, the disruption didn't last long enough to create any serious issues
