I would have put this in the Regulation Filing thread, but it's locked. I remember a discussion about what the fourth engineering component would be and this is from the SEC filings and may give us a hint.

Actually, I was thinking it might be something like: Finalizing the Specs. If the 25 E-series are attempts at the final build (a best guess, as it were), they would need to all be "identical" within the scope of the testing regime.

If I were me, and sometimes I am, that's how I would do it.

EM is already predicting that Year 1 production will only be sold to Reservation holders; i.e. they anticipate an entire production year's worth of reservations. If anybody is even slightly interested in the Elio, they should hop on board the bandwagon with a refundable reservation at the very least.

As for myself, I'm hoping I might be able to upgrade to $1000 all-in before the 50% bonus ends (or at the very least, get an SIL before reservations close!) My wife and I have decided to make a real buget, and if we can stick to it there is a chance we can pay off our Leaf within the next 8-12 months, and after that we can dump money into the Elio purchase fund.
