I am curious if anyone has any idea who might have ended up with the several prototypes that were built? Are they on the road somewhere?

Paul has them. So contact him. He runs a used car dealer in Phoenix. To make it easier, here is the link and there is a phone number. I made it really easy for you and thus, I know you'll report back on what you found out. We all really thank you in advance for doing this as it will help us all out.

This can be conformed by the Arizona Department of corporations. If you search Paul Elio, you will find his businesses and contact information. In addition to that, he has a LinkedIn Account.

We all look forward to you contacting him.

I don’t think any of the so called prototypes were road worthy. Back in the day I impatiently waited to see a video of one screaming around the test track, but never happened. I recall a few scheduled EM events where reservationists had the opportunity to do test sits……….not test drives.

I seem to remember that there were two that were actually "drivable" one I think had the one-off prototype engine they had built, and the others were just static display models.

Even if someone had them that can't be registered and tagged since they are prototypes without actual VIN's and the experimental engine is not certifiable for road use.

I think I saw a video of the red one (under its own power) being driven out of enclosed trailer and into some indoor event.

If memory serves, the worker driving it seemed to be struggling to get it to move. He did get it into the indoor venue.

There was this one from Road and Track in 2016 where they drove the one with the prototype engine in Manhattan and the left fender fell off and the car ran rough because they hadn't figured out the engine mapping for the engine.

There is a Facebook link to the video but since I dropped out of Facebook haven't watched it in sometime.
