After viewing the P4 at Daytona Beach yesterday and talking with an E-Team spokesperson we compared the Elio with the CamAm three wheel trike ( Spyder RS-S)... Below are the spec's
CAM AM ELIO
Ground Clearance 4.5" 5.75"
Height 45.1" 54.2"
Wheel width center hub 59.3" 66.8"
Length 105" 160.5"
Wheelbase 67.5" 110.0"
Cost $18,099 $ 6800
Interesting.......

Very interesting. Thank you for that information. Is the Cam Am the reverse trike? ie 2 front 1 back wheel

What can you compare it to? The Elio is the only one of its kind out there at the moment. There are some development projects that are exploring a similar path. Elio is the only one doing what they are doing now.

Just trying to estimate the drag of the body first. The outrigger wheels and linkages will be much harder because as you say there is nothing to compare them to.

Does anyone know the width of the Elio body? I'm trying to do some rudimentary drag calculations.

width of body / width of front tire

Your only known is width of front tire. It's on a post somewhere.
Take a look at a head on picture, scale it any way you wish.
Give the number one to the width to the front tire and divide it into the width of the front end and multiply that by the real width of the tire.

But this may only work late on a Saturday night just before leaving the bar.
