Right now I'm all in at $100. If say 3 or 6 months from now I upgrade to $1000 all in, will I have a lower number or a higher number than the guy that went $1000 all in from scratch the day before? Is there anything in the formula that gives any credit at all for your initial reservation date? I'm expecting the answwer to be NO, but one can hope. ;)

That's a good question.
I emailed them about that and worded it, ......... 'if a person makes an initial deposit and I upgrade to the same amount the following day, who is ranked higher'?

my understanding is whoever gets the $1000 down first will be ranked higher. If not, the numbers wouldn't matter. Meaning, I have my number already, but if someone put $100 down before me and them ups it too $1000 after me, my number would be changed. And as i understand it, once you have your number, your set. Not sure if I made sense. lol

Now I'm really confused!
I'm in but not 'all in' so I don't have a #.
I don't understand how a $100 # could be ranked higher than a $1000 deposit at a later date....but if that is the case, who would put down more that $100?

^ exactly. I was $100 in on 7/2013. Went the additional $900 in on 2/2014. The number I received (#3082) was in line with others going $1000 all in that February time frame.

maybe I worded that wrong. Higher on the list/lower reservation number

The only people with numbers locked in are the $1000 all in group. They get numbers based on when they paid the full $1000. After them there is this order of priority for cars off the line:

1. All-in $1000
2. All-in $500
3. All-in $250
4. All-in $100
5. I Want In $1000
6. I Want In $500
7. I Want In $250
8. I Want In $100

They have said they will give some warning before they shut this system down and everyone gets locked in place.
