Those percentages have been consistent for decades . Silver and Black alternate the #2 spot from year to year but White is always the champ . Some of the popularity comes from municipal vehicles and some from hot , sunny States where white is a reflective choice .
True. I was wondering how much work trucks and vans skew the data but I couldn't find the I go. I do know that I can't remember a single white vehicle in a product ad... video or print. There may be some, but they didn't make enough of an impression for me to remember.

It's been a quarter of a century since anyone in my family drove a vehicle that wasn't Black, Silver or Grey .
In 1990 . I bought a Fire Engine Red Volvo wagon.

As it was pointed out earlier, EM will be using all the different colors for the P5-P30...

if P5 is White, then P6 will be Red, P7 Blue etc... all the colors will be used in testing, because they have to pick the "real production colors" before production dates next year... 7 colors... so 4 Elio's for each color??

So why not test the colors on all the Prototypes, see what shades of colors the crowds wants the most... maybe 4 shades of each color??

I voted for White... not sure why? it kind of looks like a blank canvas, so I can make My Elio look like anything I want using a wrap...

I love the lime green mix, it makes My Elio, pop for me... I was told by EM, that I could get it done maybe at the plant or right outside the gates... I would love to drive home, all wrapped/painted... White is also good for hot areas... I hate a hot vehicle...

I think in the future when there are a lot of Elio's on the road... the one's you see on the road that are plain stock colors... those will be "rentals"...

I really doubt that people will leave their Elio's... a plain Jane... it is to easy to personalize, yours could turn heads for years to come...

They would say there goes another "member" of the Elio Nation... and....

Would that make all of "us" the biggest Autocycle club in the Nation?? ... almost 44,000 strong.... just to start....

Proud to Be... an Elio Nation member #2225Z see ya on the road..

P5 Poll Results are In…
by The Elio Team

[Broken External Image]

Happy Friday Elio'ers! Two hundred and thirty nine years ago our forefathers signed a Declaration of Independence from Great Britain and as they say, the rest is history. Most of you are fortunate to have a three-day weekend to celebrate this important day in world history. We hope you are able to celebrate this great country while surrounded by family and friends. Please enjoy it safely.

Before we get this week's blog, did you get a chance to check out the Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with our CEO Paul Elio? Fun and interesting "interview" with fans new and old. It is worth a read here on Reddit or here on our website.

OK and now to the outcome of our fan and follower poll to choose the color of the P5.... drum roll please....

Wait, before we get to the final results, let's talk about the process. Our goal was to have this be a fun, interactive chance for the folks that have been fans and supporters of Elio Motors to be an active part of the process and help choose the color of our next prototype. It was, but boy was this funny to watch from the bench...

The rules stated that there was one vote per person; a change from round one where we allowed for 25 votes/person. There was a lot of talk throughout the social networks about the integrity of the poll. We even received some pointed, almost angry, emails from people that thought the world was going to end because of people voting dishonestly multiple times. Heck, some people even sent direct emails to a member of the senior management team "expressing concern" over the execution of the poll.

This passion, even for something as fun as being part of the process, is just another reason to love our fervent Elio fans and followers! Just as we said to those emailers, we got this. One or two will not negatively impact our democratic process for the people of Elio.

So, we held our word and went through every vote that was processed and made sure that each person was allowed only one. Let's just say that there are a couple people out there that seem to have a lot of time on their hands, a lot of time meaning over 15,000 votes. Yes, that is 15 t-h-o-u-s-a-n-d votes. We hope that they actually did something that involved a computer program as opposed to one after another... love the passion and the time commitment at the very least. There were also people that had made over 1,500 (three) and a half a dozen over 500. Oh, and just so everyone knows, both sides, Marshmallow and Red Hot, were represented in the multi-voting, but the Marshmallow folks did WAY more creative voting.

The winner for the P5 color poll - Red Hot! Thank you Silas for the picture

That said, the votes were counted and after taking out the multiple votes, the results flipped all the way around and Red Hot won in a decisive 60.3% to 39.7% victory. That is a great victory for Red Hot. It kind of feels like an underdog victory, but the people have spoken, and the results are true and real.

We appreciate all who took the time to vote and especially for all of your passion in this fun and light-hearted process!

I'd love to be able to believe that the couple of folks who voted over 15,000 times for white because they really, really like white .... the skeptic in me tends to believe that those votes were cast by committed haters (for lack of a better term) in the hope of reducing the head turning appeal of the P5 .... Creamcycle may well not be everyone's favorite color but nobody can deny that the P4 is an eye catcher .... of they choices given, I'd still rather have blue but in drawing attention, red should do well

Committed Hater Marshmallow is my color of choice with a splash of Creamsicle accent. We should find a better term.
