Someday, we may be offered an affordable, practical hydrogen powered vehicle.
Possibly, yes. They seem to be making great strides in H2 production from various sources. Storage is still a bearcat, but improvements also move along. When the opportunity exceeds the infrastructure cost, we'll be there.

Amen! IIRC, in Ben Rich's book about the Skunk Works, the chapter where he describes their adventures with hydrogen was titled "Blowing Up Burbank".
