Lighting your property with motion detectors is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to deter the small time thieves; the more that better.
If you go into my RV area it's like walking on stage at a live concert and the band is playing; 6 - 300watt (equivalent) LED floods. Back deck and walkway on the side of the house, same thing. You can probably see the place from space if all the lights are on.

Good information, but not really what I'm looking for. Mine isn't so much about security, but more, I'd just like to know who's in my driveway.

That basic $80 system will be just fine then; I doubt you can find a cheaper package that works.
The 2 cameras and monitor is a good way to handle that.

If you do get a security system, let your home insurance company know. Many states give a discount on your premiums. I spent 300 bucks on my system and metlife gives me an extra 100 bucks a year off my premiums. I am coming into my 4th year on the he so now the system is paying me
