Can't believe this site is still here. It's been a while since my fleecing over the Elio, but today I put down a $300 deposit on a new Slate electric pickup and couldn't help but think "Here I go again..." I hope I learned something from last time (probably not since I got taken by the Sondors X as well). Even though it's called "disposable income" I wish that wasn't what I end up doing with it.

Difference is, Slate is not crowdfunded as opposed to Elio. So, Slate has real investors to answer too and shows real progress. Unlike Elio, never really showed much progress when it came to doing things like real development. For example, over a year ago, Slate already had 25 prototypes to go testing with. I ask you this, Elio was to have 25 to go testing with because they only needed $12M to do that. Yet, they built 2 (raised $5M more than they needed) and that's all. It's because Elio was required to do that for the IPO to make it look attractive. Slate doesn't have to do that. They have to live up to what they tell the investors or funding stops. Paul was way smarter and never had to answer to you or anyone. This is why he's living the good life today.
