I haven't checked in here in over a year. I gave up a long time ago on this 'thing' ever being built. I'm only reminded about it when I go to clean out my closet of shirts I don't wear anymore.... and I run across the most expensive T-shirt I ever bought.... my $100 Elio T-shirt that I got when I gave my minimum $100 deposit about 2 years ago. I keep it to remind me NOT to buy into things like this. I have heard NOTHING from Elio, I don't even know my reservation # or deposit #. So glad my bonus check didn't arrive in time a few years ago, because I had planned on putting a full $1000 down originally. Anyway... will this ever happen? And does Elio keep in touch with anyone? (I mean direct/personal email to those of us who have given Elio money/deposits, not a general email to all those who agree to newsletters).

Hey JJ,
I would just recommend emailing ElioMotors customer help to clarify your issues(tellmemore@eliomotors.com or https://support.eliomotors.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). You will not get a reservation number (Spot in Line number), as those are only for the $1000 deposit. As for the emails or other contact information, ElioMotors does send out regular emails (~once a week). You may want to check your email spam settings to make sure their emails arent going directly to your Junk folder.

You don't get T-Shirts for $100 deposits. Nor do you get a spot in line number.

Elio sends out a constant stream of email updates and newsletters. If you're not getting yours, maybe they are getting stuck in your spam folder, or there was some problem with your newsletter subscription. If you want them, then go here: https://www.eliomotors.com/blog/ and scroll to the bottom. Enter your email address to sign up for their newsletters.

Minor correction, you do get a t shirt. You also get a bumper sticker, both @ $100.

To recap what you missed:

- IAV finished the motor earlier this year and the P5 prototype was unveiled using that motor
- The My Elio configurator is online so you can get an idea of options and pricing: http://myelio.me/
- Construction of the 23 E-series test vehicles is underway, these are the pre-production vehicles for calibration and testing. We know Continental has one for the ABS calibration and RedDot has one for HVAC. There is supposed to be an update very soon with "big news" regarding them
- The first 100 built in Shreveport are going to fleet customers, they target December this year to start building those
- The price was officially announced at $7,300 as opposed to the $6,800 target. BUT, if you already have $100 non-refundable deposit down all you have to do is sign a commitment to buy and it locks the price in at $7,000. Not signing the agreement but having a non-refundable deposit still locks you in at $7,300. For everyone else, that price might end up being higher.

In fact, Joe here on the forums does a weekly video series that would get you a lot more detail: https://www.youtube.com/user/menandro88

Here is video #1 in the series:
