Might see you there when you pick it up ours should be done about the same time 8019.I think one of my favorite attributes of the stock Elio is the composite material used to make the body.
Keeping it shiny and without rust is what I'm looking forward to as I plan to put over 200,000 miles on my Elio.

One of the best parts about the EM way is you can have this vehicle just the way you want it.Options = increased cost. If you want $6800 it has to be basic. Options will easily break $10K. Is that realistic and really what you want. Not me.

If after taking your vehicle home you save up extra money or simply decide you want some extra accessories you just order some new items and either install them yourself or have them professionally installed at Pep Boys or an installer of your choice.
Since they won't have any models to work on for a year, I don't expect the Elio to be top-of-mind at Pep Boys for some time. I wonder what their service department turn-over is??After looking through the threads I haven't found one whether anyone has asked local Pep Boys shops if they have heard of Elio, had any orientation to the vehicle, etc. I intend on stopping my my local Pep Boys and ask the guys on the floor.
I would wait until mid-year next year. It is way too soon for them to even be in the know. Of course if you want to share information with them there is nothing wrong with that. I have done that with both the auto shops I go to and with Costco tire. The guys in the auto shops were sure it woud never happen. LOL Costco tire staff were intrigued and they remember who I am when I go in. I met the owner of the closest place where I get my oil changed and he was definitely intrigued. He also owns a couple of Napa Auto Supply stores locally. We do not have Pep Boys in our state. I try to spread the word wherever I go as a customer even though getting my Elio is at least a year away. I even wore my Elio dress to Portland for my medical appointments last month. My dietitian and pt both took promotional material from me because they were so interested.
