The "cut out" would be the waste gate, if a manual override could be designed to control spool up re: power or economy.

As far as noise in cabin goes. Engineers can design noise canceling into exhaust, body panels, etc. If you defeat/change the design...you get the noise.

Modern turbos are part of the whole computer control system. You would just need to have different performance maps programmed in, then switch between the maps. Of course, software can only work within the range that the hardware supports. It's a lot more sophisticated than just a simple manual override.

Normally aspirated just means it does not have a turbo/super-charger to pre-compress the air before it reaches the cylinders.

Although, your times should be slower for the same engine configuration even if it does use forced induction (i.e. with a turbo/supercharger). Air density is lower at higher altitudes and therefore there's less oxygen available to burn fuel and make power from. It may be possible to tune a forced induction engine to reduce the effects of altitude, but it won't fully compensate for it.

So how much $ are you talking about, for the KIT?
Willie
The Create-A-Dash kit is about $450; I do believe it comes with a couple of the sending units. The GPS Speedo is a little more.
Wiring shouldn't be that bad, you can reuse the existing wiring. The Amp gauge you might have to wire; but that's only a single wire (pick up the ground from the frame).
COS I like the create a dash: http://www.intellitronix.com/CREATE-A-DASH.html#white It would be nice if the 5 gauge cluster would fit. But everybody is going to have to live with the dementions. The more info the better. Wiring could be a problem tho.
That's why it's called Create-A-Dash; it's up to you to make it fit :becky: (aka Universal Fit = It fits nothing in the Universe)
