Visibility Out The Wind Screen/windshield

Friends, the headroom spec for the driver seems generous, yet I'm concerned that the shape of the roof along with what appears to be a 2" black band going around the windshield will make visibility difficult for really tall drivers or those who sit rather upright. If you have to tip your head forward to look out, that could make driving uncomfortable. The headroom was designed for a 7' driver. Would those who've sat in the cab care to comment? -/Mark

I'm 6'3" and sit upright. I drive an F-350 as a daily driver and when I sat in the P-4, I didn't notice any issues with visibility due to the top of the windshield. I DID notice that the two A-pillars make it feel boxed in - like if you held one hand on either side of your face. My concern, therefore, is how long will it take to get used to the two dead zones you'll have straight ahead. Most of us are used to having the one A-pillar to our left but that one on the right is really in the normal visual path to me. Height won't be a problem.

You will adapt real quick. I just went to 4" bullet shape mirrors on my G1 , replacing the app. 6' X 4" EOM ones for better aero/weight.
It took about an hour of testing in enclosed traffic to adjust my driving/observations. It seem it makes me more aware of what's coming from behind, which means a "safer" driver.
My opinion.
