Go to "charts" on the OTC site, and click on "data table". It shows 4928 on the volume, so the assumption I think is 1=1000.

I suspect that the sales volume is exactly what it says, with no thousands implied. This is a very small stock, and very large daily volumes are NOT to be expected. I wish it were the other way around, but it ain't.

Agreed. Couldn't find any other explanation for his 4.9 mil claim.

I think the old school volumes for the DOW were based on hundreds because it saved space in the newspapers. But if it's any basis other than 1:1, then there should be a legend or note somewhere to that effect.
Old school shares were usually traded in blocks of 100 and big blocks of 10,000 (100x100).
I honestly don't know how it's done now in the information age.
