when this "need" is fulfilled what will be the NEXT need ??

The obvious changes:

• people will be asking about / laughing at my new vehicle;
• I will be spending a lot less money on gas each month;

Not-so-obvious changes:

• Not looking forward to the first time when I don't have enough space in the vehicle to carry things home;
• Not looking forward to the first time when I don't have enough passenger space to take 2 others somewhere;

My next need will be to learn all about my new Elio, what I can expect from it, etc.

My next non-Elio need: before I reach my death-bed, to receive total consciousness. (it's a movie reference)

the changes that will take place now are few in number .... that wouldn't have been the case a few years ago when for 10 years I commuted 140 miles a day .... being retired, we really don't need an Elio for savings associated with its gas mileage .... frankly, that's nice to be able to say .... for us, it will be an "&" vehicle .... it should help keep miles off of our other vehicles which, at least in theory, should extend their useful life .... hopefully it will prove to have the quality of ride that will allow us to take some day trips in a rig that if fun to drive

Positive changes:
1) Feeling good that I did my part in helping our environment by using less gas.
2) My Elio could be put to good use as our neighborhood watchdog when I park it outside day or night using the Infinite EZ cameras.
3) Big thumbs up for me that I'll be able to use carpool lane - a big plus for solo drivers going to work when using our congested freeways!
4) The obvious savings in gas will go towards more options in the future for my Elio!

Negative changes:
None!

No changes at all . My neighbors are used to me having odd vehicles in my garage . They will continue to wave and shake their heads in amusement .
I am looking forward to tinkering and upgrading until some other shiny thing catches my attention.
