Demonstrating safety can't hurt but safety is not part of the ATVM requirements. But it is important to future lenders and investors, and really important to thr prospective buyers.

Hi Lawrence,

As some others have stated, it's important to breathe and relax. We would all feel better if Paul said "hey, here's the date that production will start, and we will make that date come hell or high water!" But he's not going to say that.

Why? Starting a new vehicle company is a very very hard thing to do. If you think that this is all a scam because Elio Motors has missed dates and still doesn't have a firm production date, then that's fine and you are welcome to your opinion.

Is it possible that production won't start until 2018? Yes, it's possible. Is it possible that Elio Motors should have been like every other new vehicle company, and keep us all in the dark about what's happening when where and how? Yep.

But the fact is, Elio Motors has chosen to show the public a lot of what they are doing, when where and how. And even with whom on occasion. That's pretty cool and amazing.

If you expect production to start next March and it doesn't, you'll be unhappy. Take a breath, relax, hang in there.

They need three things to begin production.

1. Successful tests with only minor modifications.
2. The ATVM Loan approval to finance the Factory.
3. Funding of the operations budget in order to begin production.

Any of these may not come about as soon as hoped, but none should do more than delay the project since alternatives are there, even if less desirable.

But if things fall into place, I expect production to commence in 2017. I lean toward summer to get sufficient feedback on the Fleet Sales.
