I'm relatively new to this forum with a fairly low number. It is rare that I see any reservation numbers below 400. That being said, who are the people with the first 100 reservations or for that matter, the first 300? Are these corporate backers or is Elio reserving a select number for big backers? Not that these people don't deserve the first production models, the certainly do.

welcome, and congrats on your lovely low number. I don't know the answer to your q, but there are people here who know. Just for my info. how/why did it take so long for you to find this forum?

I've been waiting so long its easier to just forget about it at times. I suspect I'll be gone again if they don't produce a running engine or some more prototypes soon. I'm a big fan and really want this thing but its hard to take Elio serious at times without seeing any real progress.

I can understand your frustration as things really have not gone to plan for EM over the last year or so and as such I have noticed a lot of very early reservation holders who are rightfully frustrated.

My advice to you, if you think you will be very frustrated, is to come back around the first week of November and see what has happened. By then we should hopefully have a much clearer idea about the engine and P5/E0 prototype which will also give us a better idea where the production timeline stands.

There is just no reason to create extra stress in your life over a vehicle and process in which we have virtually zero control. [emoji4]

Yes, if they don't have news on the engine over October I'll assume the engine block exploded on the bench or something. I just ordered a half-dozen 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles to keep me occupied while there is no real news to report.

I do know that #1 is reserved for Elio Motors with Shreveport, LA as the location. I found this on the EM FB map. :-) Z

I'm not a corporate anything but I do fall under the first 100 category. #61 actually! I would guess the reason most of the supporters on this forum are over the 3-400 mark is because this forum wasn't concieved when the first Elio gamblers rolled the dice in early January 2013. Glad I found this informative site but in the beginning it was just a "what the heck" kind of decision. Elio has come a long way, I am more confident with each day that passes they will cross the finish line with this history changing vehicle.
Every time I see your number I am amazed. You reserved a year before I ever heard of the Elio. It took me some time to save the money for my reservation but I did it "with a little help from my friends". :-) Z

Sophisticated minds do seem to get frustrated with the process. . . . , while "simple" minds, like my own, just read the threads, stay entertained and follow everyone else like sheep. . . . . . . Over the cliff. o_O

Hopefully its a small cliff, with lots of cushioning at the bottom.
Hey, ajetmech, the sudden stop for the "first over" might be a little ruff, but it will be much softer for the rest in line.

Kinda like the "mouse and the cheese:" The SECOND mouse ALWAYS gets the cheese.

Never want to be first in line for anything! :)
