Two years of work and there ya are! I have often considered that drive train, but it was a bit overkill for the purpose. Only $6K, not bad. I guarantee it's hugely safer than the monster vehicle in the second link below, but ya never know with custom builds. The styling could use some TLC.

I think he could have used a smaller engine with that same tranny and still had more power than needed.

Not sure if I like all the unsprung weight of a differential attached to the rear wheel (newer one). Might get exciting when you hit some bumps in the road!
