AS OF YESTERDAY NORTH CAROLINA HAS A NEW AUTOCYCLE LAW
SEALED , DELIVERED & SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR !

• H.B. 6 - A bill amending the motor vehicle laws to define and regulate three-wheeled enclosed motorcycles, known as autocycles. Operators of motorcycles would only need a regular driver's
• license and would not have to wear a helmet.

until this legislation, motorcycle riders had to have a special endorsement on their license and had to wear helmets

Oh, It was really red, lol. OHIO was just yellow, lol. OHIO required MC endorsements. The first year of holding a motorcycle endorsement in OHIO, the rider had to wear a helmet and carry no passengers. And anybody under 18 riding a motorcycle had to wear a helmet. As of June first 2015 we have the 'cab enclosed motorcycle' which is exempted from these laws. I'm Happy for all of us.

I HAVE BEEN DRIVING BIKE PLATED AUTOCYCLES IN THE RALEIGH AREA FOR 3O YEARS .
I HAVE NEVER HAD A MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT OR A HELMET .

NO ONE HAS EVER GIVEN ME ANY GRIEF OVER TECHNICALLY BREAKING THE LAW
BUT IT IS GREAT TO KNOW I DON'T HAVE TO LOOK OVER MY SHOULDER ANY MORE .
