Well looks like they plan on getting through almost half of the reservations in the first 3 months:

When you expect that an Elio will be available for purchase for a guy that didn't put down a reservation? I'm excited to own one, but I am always nervous about putting down cash up front.

It takes us 90 days to ramp up to full production capacity, during that period we will produce 19,000 vehicles. Then we will produce 1,000 vehicles a day (and there are 250 build days a year). So, you can look at the calendar and approximate when the next non-reserved vehicle will be produced.

Paul was correcting the incorrect assumption that the P5 would be ready in late July. He is saying to expect the P5 to make the scene in 20 weeks. Holding my breath.

Got it. So if the P5 was started in June, just for argument's sake we'll say June 10, November 10 would be the estimate for when the P5 is complete.

From what you found on Reddit, the P5 build through July will define how the p6-p25 will need to be built. Then they'll start on the P6 in July at some point.

But there will be something like 12-16 more weeks (depending on when they actually started the P5) after July to get the P5 up to show quality. The P6 thru P25 will not need to be show quality, so presumable they have a different, maybe a shorter, build time. Anyway, only P6-up will be crashed, but there seems an outside chance that suggests P6+ may be ready to do some tests sooner than the P5 is ready for show.

I suppose they have to play this all by ear, because a unexpected result from the crash testing could possibly force a change back into the P5, and incorporated for show.

Anyway, statements from the past said that p5-p25 would be built in parallel and it was also said at other times that P5 would precede the others. Basically, I can see both statements are substantially true. I can imagine that not all of the P6-P25 need to have an engine or other systems that actually run in them, depending on the crash test involved.

I interpreted that also, I'm disappointed it will take so long, but appreciate the hopefully honest response. The good news in P6 starts later this month, I'd hope each one gets quicker than the next and I definitely don't see production starting 12 months from now if the P5 isn't complete by November.
