My window for an Elio will close before I get an Elio in late '16, or early '17. Sure glad I didn't waste a $1000.

Fantastic idea, but PE is badly under financed.

The last big supplier summit is
coming & a potential timeline too.
Let's see what happens.....

I'm having trouble finding the dates of the next supplier summit when searching this forum or Google. Getting overloaded with news and announcements about the previous supplier summit. Do you happen to know exactly when they're having it?

Takes a lick'in, and keeps on tick'in! now at $27,295,234, we're just a little behind for 110% tonight, but it's basically in the bag. Until they announce something new that overall status will not change. So the post Summit news is the 'pacing item' now for our 'Elio saga'.

Is there a thread for that yet. We should start one. (-watch for the re-edit-)

Interesting blog just put out by Elio, not sure I understand, seems like you do, can you describe more about the process sort of kind of one-off builds, but not really?
"The “E” vehicles will not be made in succession like the “P” vehicles, they will be made essentially at the same time. This will significantly shorten the timeline versus making 25 vehicles one after the other."
What they'll do is verify, for instance, that the frame is right for P5 and from that, they'll build the next 25 one right after the other. If they have the room, they could have a couple guys in place who could put together more than a frame a day fairly easily. The issue is that they have to be really sure that there will be no more tweaks. I figure they'll make P5 and see any short fallings in the frame (this attach point needs to be moved 1/2 inch right to make it easier to put the body on for instance). They'll take what they learn putting P5 together and build the first E-01. If there are no other tweaks, they'll have the rest of them done inside a month. The same goes for all the other parts.
