I know it's not really new information, but how long has the eliomotors.com site headline had a claimed production date?

over time various target dates have been given .... the fourth quarter of 2016 is the latest projection .... hopefully it will prove to be the case

Yeah, I know. There won't be a solid date until after PE announces that he has secured funding to start production. I just thought it noteworthy that they are confident enough in the Q4 2016 timeline to put it in giant font on the front page of the website.

Actually the projected date of 4Q 2016 is relatively new. And if memory serves, as JEBar states, they've on and off stated a project "coming ____" date on the website. I believe they haven't put a date on the home page of the website for at least a few months and probably several.

Long story short: we all do very much hope that production will start 4Q 2016, but just because that date is stated on the home page, doesn't mean it's in stone.

I've been following Elio Motors for the last year or so and been lurking here for a few months, so I'm well aware that any production dates are still highly speculative at this point. I just thought that considering they have been increasingly careful about making forward looking statements of late, that it may be a reflection of their confidence level.

I can see how having over $25M in Crowd Funding on tap could most certainly improve a company's confidence level ..
