Welcome, Emt1581 and very astute observation.

Thanks!

Yeah, I thought the way I'd sell it to my wife is..."Hey hun, guess what...with the Elio, there are NO payments!! Just triple the fuel cost at the pump and it'll be paid off in a few years"... nope! I forsee much more of a "ok, if I can get the Elio, you can get (boob job, house updates, etc.)"...presentation.

I only discovered the Elio in the past few days but I've been all over the net trying to learn about it.

Initially, the CC option seemed really appealing. However, I've got a top notch credit rating so I could do MUCH better than the actual cost that would yield. Plus I've NEVER carried a balance in my life (I pay my bills in full each month and just do it for the benefits of the card...a.k.a...free stuff). So to have a $6K+ balance every month...no thanks!

But as has been said many times, we have to see what the final plan/deal/offer looks like.

Thanks! I appreciate that.

Yeah, I was shopping around for forums but this seems to be the where the most dialogue is. Definitely a lot of rumors all over the net though. Wow...just WOW!!...on the amount of rumors!

Surprised no one has yet photoshopped the front propeller and wings option Elio will offer!!

I've been saving my coin ever since I heard about the Elio, once I put down the $1000, I've upped my monthly savings a bit more.
Now I've just made my last payment on the house, so I'm raising the savings again. I am hoping to have most of the money to pay cash for it when I get it. (My first and most likely only ride to Sturgis will be this summer and will cut into my Elio cash, but not too severely if I can help it)

We can appreciate your concern and until our credit card/ gas card program is finalize, we are not marketing this program on our website. I understand this program has been mentioned in articles and interviews, but until it is finalized we can not offer it. With any such program, an individual will be required to register and qualify for the program.
As for the reservations, we are offering a refundable reservation to everyone, as well as a non-refundable option. So if the person making the reservation determines that they can not afford a non-refundable reservation, they will be still be able to place a refundable reservation that would still entitle them to reservation for our vehicle within the first year of production. We have clearly stated in the reservation documentation that this is a risk and does not guarantee an individual a vehicle.
Best Regards,
The Elio Team
Debbie,
Can you contact me on some off-public message on here? I have a couple of questions for you. I'm not sure how to keep my questions off-board, as I don't think mine belong in that realm.
thx-
Russ.

Russ, you can go up to the right hand corner of the forum and click on your inbox. Select start conversation and enter the name of the person you want to contact. No one can access that conversation but the two of you unless you request it. I hope this helps. :-) Z
